
As a co-founder of WealthEngage, Eddy is responsible for investment decisions, the planning process and the overall direction of the firm.
Engaging and empathetic, he helps successful individuals address complex financial situations that impact their lives and their families. His overriding objective is making clients' financial decisions easier so they may lead to better outcomes. One area of specialty is helping business owners have succession plans for selling their companies.
He is a Certified Investment Management Analysist, the only credential designed specifically for financial professionals managing, analyzing, distributing or regulating alternative investments and asset classes.
Before co-founding WealthEngage with Gus Vega, Eddy served as an investment consultant to financial advisors at major brokerage firms. he held senior positions (SVP, VP, Regional Director) at multiple global asset managers such as Principal Funds and Calvert Funds over a 14-year period. In 2023, WealthEngage rebranded to Venn Wealth Management with their move to Concurrent Investment Advisors, a Registered Investment Advisor.
Eddy earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Florida International University, and a Global Master of Science in Finance (MSF) from IE Business School. He also holds a certificate in financial Planning from the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business.
Throughout his career, Eddy has continued to serve as a board member on numerous community organizations, including Junior Achievement of Miami, CAIA Miami, FIU Business School Alumni Board, IE Miami Alumni Board, IMCA Editorial Advisory Board and Student Financial League.
Eddy is a Miami native whose family emigrated from Spain and Bolivia. He lived in Atlanta for a number of years after college before returning to Miami in 2007 as a Regional vice President at Principal Funds and starting a family. Today Eddy lives in Pinecrest, Florida, wiht his wife, Lori, and children, Briana, Sebastian, Anthony and Nicolas. His favorite interests include tropical horticulture, gardening, kayaking and fishing.
